Meet the

Instructors

Suzanne Skaggs

I am deeply passionate in guiding people in their fitness journey by providing training and encouragement to stay motivated to meet their fitness goals. I have been a group fitness instructor for 8 1/2 years, and priorly attended 15+ years of group fitness classes myself. I specialize in a mix of cardio, such as Poundfit, and strength training through the use of weights and body weight resistance. My overall goal is to motivate others to achieve mind and body transformation and gain a sense of accomplishment by putting in the EFFORT, resulting in a positive ATTITUDE.

Joni Stanley

I’m Joni Stanley and I’ve been in the fitness instructor game for a solid 25 years—that’s two and a half decades of sweat, smiles, and shaking up workouts. I’m all about making fitness feel less like a chore and more like a party, and I’d love to have you in my classes! As an AFAA certified instructor, I enjoy teaching a variety of classes. Whether it’s the precision of STEP aerobics, the groove of Zumba dance, the intensity of a HIIT workout, or the perfect blend of Cardio and Strength Bootcamp, I’ve got you covered. Whether you’re a gym regular or just testing the workout waters, my classes are like a big, welcoming high-five. I promise, you’ll feel right at home!

Stephanie Davis

Hello! My name is Stephanie Davis and I love YOGA! I have been practicing Yoga consistently since the birth of my second child in 2011. Initially, I needed help controlling anxiety and panic attacks without medicine. My answer was (and still is) Yoga. Now, in order to help alleviate stress, lower my blood pressure, and stay strong, I continue to practice daily. In 2020 I was given the opportunity to become an actual Yoga Instructor (or Certified Stretcher, as my husband likes to say). I jumped on the chance entered into the world of Yoga Teach Training through a great program offered by River Bend Yoga. I graduated with my 200 hour certification in November of 2021. Since that time I have led many classes at Leisure World in Bethalto, as well as guided others through virtual training. Most recently I have been leading people in “Iron Yoga” at Elite Fitness, and shortly I will be leading a “Chair Yoga” class in Bethalto on a weekly basis. Currently my “real” job as a Business Consultant for Wells Fargo Advisors takes up most of my time. My family entertains the rest of my “spare” time with allowing me to cheer them on at their continuous sporting events, which I love. My future plans include a continuation of guiding and sharing my love of yoga with others well into my Golden Years.
